>Hello Everyone,

>Mama, Thank you for asking for President Wong's help so quickly.  Please also thank him from me for responding immediately.

>Quintus, Thanks for your email and for sharing your personal experience with your companion. It is true that everyone is different and have different ways of dealing with situations or reacting to them.  nor am I in Sanchong anymore, so I'm glad you found it on the map, but it isn't where I am anymore.  It'll be a bit easier to find the place I'm in now on the map.  I'm...well, I'll finish responding to everyone's email before I get to that.

>Hey Lanzer.  I'm not sure I quite understand what that was that you sent to me, but it was nice to see your picture.  You are what people here would call shuai (pronounced "sh + why" with a fourt tone...Ask mama what that is, she'll know - it's that same tone as love-ai!).

>Oh my goodness Mama, what a start to the email - hard to be-leaf!  The last week spent in Sanchong it rained like crazy.  It was definitely the heaviest downpour that I've ever ridden a bike through.  There was also some flooding in Sanchong as a result.  I told my companion at the beginning of the week that it would rain all week.  I said that the sky was going to cry because I was leaving.  He told me, "you don't know that you're leaving".  And I told him, "but the sky does".  And it did.

>I'm going to send this now and start again just in case....

>I think that worked.  What a relief.

>...It was great to talk with those of you I was able to on Mother's Day.  I'm glad you got my letters...thanks for sending them out.  And yes I'm happy with the changes that have taken place this movecall.

>I'm glad things are going good at primary for you Mama.  Sorry about the Gibbons moving.  I know she's good.  I always enjoyed her playing the flute too.  You, Mama, are what they would call here xinku (pronounced "Shin-coo" Shin first tone, coo third - which is a high tone then low, a member could help you with it if you wanted.  It's what you'd call anyone who's a really hard worker.  The Taiwanese people do recognize that us missionaries are and ofter say to us we're very xinku.  We ofcourse play it off like we're not, but we are.  The ku is like cool without the "l".

>The Taibei temple was small, and yes I've only been once.  Next week will be my second time.  I will remember Kathy when I attend and definitely add her name to the roll.  Also Marylin, she and her daughter need the gospel more than anything else.  Unfortunately her current lifestyle would disqualify her from being baptized.  But through Christ, anyone can change.

>Very quickly now, I'm in Taibei City - Nangang, which means southport.  The 101 is in my area.  I'm where I belong - downtown.  My new companion is Elder Anderson, from Texas, but has lived in many different states.  It's his first movecall as a senior companion.  He is a quiet, shy, tall, skinny guy with glasses.  He is so nice and I know we are going to get along great and do such good things.  Between the two of us we have a little under a year of experience in Taiwan.  It will not be easy, but with the Lord's help I know we'll see miracles.

>I love you all so very much.  Until next week (Wednesday),

>Tyrus
